Rajasthan in a week (Jaipur-Jaisalmer-Jodhpur)

Rajasthan is a very big state having multiple tourist attraction. We decided to visit the three major places Jaipur also known as Pink City, Jaisalmer (The Golden City) and last Jodhpur(The blue city).

I think Feb-March is the best time to visit these places.

We reached Jaipur a day before Holi. Never seen a celebration like this in life time. People wearing white kurta-pyjama along with huge bunch of foreigners enjoying coloring each other with happy faces. All the tourist places remains closed on Holi but we were lucky that Maharaj Express carrying all foreigners reached Jaipur that day and because of that we got the chance to visit Amer fort which is major attraction for visitors.

Amer fort :

It's little hard for people to walk on own foot to reach fort entrance. Lot of tourist enjoy elephant ride which is provided till main entrance of the fort. It cost about 500 INR for each person.
I tried some snap while on way to entrance.

Actually we have visited the place in the morning also, and joined with locals to have morning prayer in a temple in Fort only. Local peoples were chanting some local music which was very nice after that they offered us chandan and some sweets. But as it was Holi so rest part of fort was closed, so we returned back.

And again visited the place in evening , courtesy Maharaja Express, because of it fort was opened and we visited the entire place. It took about 2 hrs to visit each and every corner of the place. Lots of local guides are there to help with the beauty of each corner. i would like to share some memorable snaps taken by me around the fort.

I will continue with the rest of the places in my next blog. I will recommend this a must visit place if you are in Jaipur for a day.
