Our next destination was Jaisalmer(also known as Golden City). We took an overnight bus from Jaipur to Jaisalmer. It was around 11-12 hr journey so sleeper coach will be preferred. As per the plan, our next task was to hire Bike. We hired bike for 2 days. It cost around 400-500 per day as per the bike. After having little breakfast, we started our journey towards Sam Sand Dunes. It was a beautiful cloudy day, never expected to be in mid march. On the both side of road, wind mills are placed and everywhere sand. We clicked some pic on way.
If you are in Rajasthan, sam and dune resorts are place where you will be welcomed like no where in India. So it was best part of the trip. It was about 40km from Jaisalmer city, which could be covered in an hour. We took some rest and refreshed our self in swiss tent booked in resort. Lot of activities were included in resort package. Camel Safari was one of them which was of real joy. You might do Jeep safari in thaar desert also if you are here. It will cost about 1000rs for Jeep safari for 30-45 minutes bumpy experience.
In the night there was scheduled local traditional dance by local beautiful girl and after that it was DJ night so that everyone can entertain themself. If you need hard drinks resort people will manage for you with some additional bucks. We have to start for bike trip early morning, so tried to sleep early so that we feel refreshed like another start.
At last i can say this place has a lot to offer to enjoy with family, preferable to visit in feb and till mid march only.
